 Catch a ride on Cass Scenic Railroad State Park’s main attraction, the 4.5-hour train ride to the overlook at Bald Knob. Bald Knob is the third highest point in West Virginia, making for a breathtaking views and amazing photos. In addition to other train excursions, the park offers a series of dinner train rides throughout the summer and a variety of special train rides and packages during the year. 

 The Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope in Green Bank, West Virginia, US is the world's largest fully steerable radio telescope. Nestled in the mountain ranges and farmland of WV, within the National Quiet Zone, radio astronomers are listening to the remote whispers of the universe.

 This fly fishing destination resort is tucked away on the banks of The Elk River 

near the Randolph, Pocahontas County lines in West Virginia. They offer a

premier Elk River guided trip for rainbow and brown trout as well as back

country brook trout, smallmouth bass and muskie trips . They so offer

private lessons, group lessons and schools from  beginners to advanced fly

fishermen. Lodging and food are on premises as well as the largest fly shop.

 Located on top of Rich Mountain along the western edge of the Allegheny Highlands, Kumbrabow State Forest in Randolph County is West Virginia’s highest forest. With 9,474 acres of forest at an elevation of more than 3,000 feet above sea level, Kumbrabow is used for recreation, watershed protection, commercial forestry and wildlife management.
